Nashville, Ind. – Hard Truth Distilling Co., a distillery located on 325 acres in Southern
Indiana, has released a new addition to its flavored spirits collection: Hard Truth Peanut
Butter Whiskey. New today, Hard Truth blends, flavors, and bottles this whiskey at its
state-of-the art craft distillery i n Brown County, Indiana.
“When developing this spirit, I was focused on balancing the complexity of salted and
deeply roasted peanut butter with the traditional straight bourbon whiskey character of
caramel, corn and oak,” explained Hard Truth Master Distiller Bryan Smith.
“While some similar products in the marketplace utilize a far lower grade whiskey as the
base spirit, we thought it was important to give our customers what they expect from
Hard Truth Distilling Co. — a premium spirit utilizing the best ingredients we could find.”
The resulting beverage greets the palate with “aromas of honey roasted peanuts that
give way to the flavors and rich mouthfeel of sweet peanut butter,” noted Hard Truth
owner and co-founder Tim O’Bryan.
“The two-year straight bourbon whiskey used as this spirit’s base perfectly balances the
finish as you notice subtle hints of sea salt.“
Hard Truth Peanut Butter Whiskey is bottled at 70 proof with 35% ABV. It is available in
750 mL bottles with a suggested retail price of $29.99 and will be available at all nine
Big Woods Restaurants locations, Hard Truth Hills and local retailers throughout
Indiana.
Hard Truth Peanut Butter Whiskey has an auburn appearance and offers an aroma of
deep-roasted peanuts, corn and oak. Honey-roasted peanut flavor is accompanied by a
creamy, sweet quality with hints of oak and corn. The drinking experience features a
rich mouthfeel reminiscent of having eaten a spoonful of peanut butter, with a long, salty
and sweet finish.

The special cocktail menu will be available exclusively at the Hard Truth Hills Tours &
Tastings Center in Brown County today and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14, from 11:30 a.m.
to 9 p.m. The first 200 guests to purchase a Hard Truth Peanut Butter Whiskey cocktail
at the Tours & Tastings Center will also receive a free PB&J snack with their drink.
All Big Woods Restaurants locations will also be launching a new Hard Truth
Peanut Butter Whiskey cocktail addition to their regular menus today — the Hard Truth
Peanut Butter Highball.
