French Oak Sweet Mash Rye

Our award-winning RW-1 mashbill Sweet Mash Rye is aged for six years in new, charred American Oak barrels and finished with toasted French oak from one of the oldest cooperages in France. The tighter grain of French oak imparts subtle and nuanced flavors of caramel over vanilla, spice, and a hint of fruitiness, as well as a creamier texture due to its lower tannins compared to American oak, adding a touch of elegance and complexity to this whiskey.

We took three of Hard Truth fans favorite things and put them into one whiskey for this special, and very limited, single barrel release. Sweet Mash Rye at cask strength, a 6-year age statement, finished in a limousine French oak barrel. It’s spectacular.
