Dark Roast Rye begins with Hard Truth’s grain-to-glass philosophy, brought to life through a 50/50 blend of two distinctive mash bills: RW-3 Chocolate Malt Rye and RW-4 Caramel Malt Rye.
As part of our Master Distiller’s Reserve, each step of its creation is carefully managed to build a whiskey layered with richness, depth, and character. These qualities deepen as time and barrel develop notes of indulgent confection and roasted coffee, balanced by warming rye spice.
Dark Roast Rye is Bottled-in-Bond, meaning it is the product of a single distilling season, from one distillery, aged at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof under U.S. government supervision. This designation ensures consistency, authenticity, and a whiskey that speaks clearly to its origin, which fully embodies Hard Truth’s grain-to-glass approach to whiskey-making.
